Michigan Association of Emergency Medical Technicians "EMT of the Year" Award Nominations
MAEMT sponsors the Michigan "EMT of the Year" Award each year to recognize a special person for his/her excellence and/or outstanding achievement in emergency medical services.
Nominations are now being accepted
and must be submitted no later than
February 29, 2009.

The qualifications for the award are as follow:
- Licensed Medical First Responder, EMT, Specialist, Paramedic, Instructor-Coordinator, or administrator in the State of Michigan.
- Licensed by the state of Michigan for at least two years.
- Nominee continually promotes the profession of EMS through innovation and leadership. (Please submit examples.)
- Must have high personal integrity and character.
Nominations may be made by submitting the nomination form, with supporting documentation to:

Supporting documentation can include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Letter(s) of recommendation
- Newspaper article(s)
- Letter of recognition / commendation

The "EMT of the Year" will be announced and given special recognition at the Michigan EMS EXPO Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids. The MAEMT Board of Directors will nominate the winner to the NAEMT for the National EMT of the Year Award.
